The Honorary Consul of Benin in Port-Gentil expressed wishes for peace to the people of Gabon and Benin

It was through a press release that reached our editorial office on Tuesday August 1, the day of the celebration of the 63rd anniversary of Benin's accession to national sovereignty, that Georges Kassavi, Honorary Consul of this country in Port-Gentil, addressed to his compatriots, particularly those living in the economic capital of Gabon.

"On the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the accession to national sovereignty of our country Benin, I would like to express, on behalf of the President of the Republic, Mr. Patrice Talon, and of his government, on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, on behalf of the Honorary Consulate of Benin in Port-Gentil and its staff as well as on my own behalf, my warm wishes for a happy and happy birthday to all the people of Benin, of whom you are an integral part and that you represent so worthily in Gabon, this brother country and friend of Benin”, he wrote.

The diplomat did not forget the authorities of the host country: "Allow me to thank on your behalf the competent Gabonese authorities and in particular the Governor and the Mayor of Port-Gentil, the Military High Command and the police for their constant concern”.

Before concluding: "To the Gabonese and Beninese peoples, I express my wishes for peace, consensus and mutual understanding so that the sister Republics of Gabon and Benin may live".
