Forty-nine girls and single mothers from Port-Gentil have successfully completed the cycle of many training courses offered by the Gabtrotter association for their empowerment.

In terms of impact, it is already a success for the association which has given itself the main objective of promoting the responsible use of technologies and media in education which, initially, was to bring thirty women portgentillaises out of precariousness through its program of the «second chance», realized in partnership with the Ministry of Justice, Keeper of the Seals, in charge of human rights and gender equality, and financed by the French Embassy in Gabon and São Tomé and Príncipe through the funds of the Innovative Projects of Civil Societies and Coalitions of Actors (PISCCA).

Introduction to Micro:Bit technology, office automation, entrepreneurship, training in writing a CV and job search, among others, everything has been done to ensure that the training started last June is a success. Now equipped, the beneficiaries will work to become autonomous, either by obtaining a job or by creating their own income-generating activities.

Already, twenty-one of them have obtained an internship or a job, or 42.85% of professional integration.

This promotion will benefit, until the end of September, from psychological monitoring and support for the search for internships and jobs.
